You have heard this so many times ‘Just stand on the promises of God, and you will experience a complete transformation in your life’.
You know the promises of God are true.
You are trying to follow the advice you have been given. You’re trying to stand on them, but nothing seems to be working.
Could it be that the promises of God only work for certain people?
If not, then why have you been holding on to them for a long time but see no manifestations of the answers?
You’re beginning to get frustrated and discouraged. You’re on the verge of giving up.
How do you stand on the promises of God firmly?
Believe That What God Says Is True
Many people say that they are standing on the promises of God, but if you dig deeper, you will find that they only say it.
They don’t believe what the word says.
See, God is not just pleased by what you say. He is pleased by those who believe that his promises are true and will come to pass.
The word of God says that without faith, it is impossible to please God. You need to believe that the promises you are standing on are true.
And they will manifest in God’s perfect timing.
Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6
Declare The Promises Of God Over Your Life
Everything around you may not be in alignment with the word of God. The situation may be the complete opposite of what God has promised you, but that does not mean that God’s word is not true.
Instead of feeling discouraged, you need to declare the promises of God over your life.
The word of God says we believe, and so we speak
And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, 2 Corinthians 4:13
Meaning that we need to declare these promises over our lives.
We should not keep silent just because things are not going the way we want.
We have been given authority to turn around situations, and we do that by declaring God’s word over our lives and situations.
So declare those promises until you see a manifestation in your life.
Walk In Obedience To The Word Of God
If you look at some of God’s promises, you will notice that they have a condition like ‘if’ attached to them.
Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. Deuteronomy 28:1
Meaning that there are things God expects us to do for us to enjoy his promises.
The good news is that these things are not usually hard for us.
Now the most common condition is to obey God, and then we shall enjoy those promises.
See, obeying God is not really for God’s own good. It is for our own good.
When we obey God, we allow him to bring the things he has promised into our lives.
Standing on the promises is not something you do just for a day. You need to do it continually and believe that what God has promised will come to pass.
Walk in obedience, trust the process, and declare the promises over your life until they come to pass.
