Prayer For Son On Drugs
Dear Father in Heaven,
First of all, I want to thank you and praise you for blessing me with my son.
As a parent, it is hard to see him struggle with drug addiction. Sometimes I blame myself for his struggles.
I am sorry that I did not see the signs of his drug problem.
I am sorry for the guilt that surrounds my heart.
I feel like I didn't do enough as a parent. I question myself at times and wonder what could I have done differently.
The reason behind my son's addiction is not known to me but you Lord know all things. You know what caused the start of his addiction.
I pray that he will have a heavy conviction in his heart.
Give him the ability to see his situation and overcome it.
Do not allow the enemy to have victory over his body or mind.
I pray that you break the bondage of addiction and I declare every stronghold to release him in the name of Jesus.
Help my family find the strength to pray for my son and to encourage him with your Holy Word.
Give us a heart after your heart Lord. Where we love him without judgment, anger, or blame because these things aren't godly.
Let us be filled with love, compassion, forgiveness, and faith as we pray for my son for deliverance from drugs.
I believe you that have a plan for my son and it will come to fruition in the time you have set.
You are here with us even though we are in the middle of a mess, and we need your help to have patience.
Father, I pray that you protect my son's mind and body.
Remove the drugs from his body with your power.
Cleanse his mind of any desire to feed his addiction and pull him up, and out of the darkness, he is in.
Let him feel your Holy Spirit wrap His arms around him so that he may know that he isn't alone in this.
I pray that you set his mind free. Remove the desires and cravings that lead him deeper into this addiction.
He needs to trust you and realize that you bore his sins and addictions on the cross. The blood of Jesus was shed so that he may be set free.
As the addiction is released, please strengthen him and give him the fortitude to stand in the place of victory.
You are in control, Lord, and we trust you.
I pray these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
