How to Experience True Change in Life

Some people are doing everything they can to transform their bodies by following specific diets, exercising, taking pills, or plastic surgery.

Others are buying books, going to seminars, and watching different kinds of entertainments in the quest to transform their lives and live happily.

Some move from church to church or go from preacher to preacher or prophet to prophet because they want to experience change.

The truth is most of these methods do not work. Yes, they seem to work for a season, but then they don’t bring real transformation.

Others make people feel good for a while.

Others cost a lot of money, and even then, they are not a guarantee that someone will become happy.

If you want to experience true change:

Start With the Mind

The Bible tells us transformation starts within our minds, not our bodies. Not that transforming your body is bad; it is good to exercise and watch what you eat. But if that is the only thing you focus on, you will only enjoy temporary results because you will still have the same thought patterns.

Changing your wardrobe and looks will cause you to feel good and happy, but it will not bring true joy to your heart.  Our thoughts determine our views and actions. That is why we must start by transforming our minds.

Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2

True Renewal is Done With the Word of God

As we have already seen, there are so many different ways people try to change themselves, but true renewal is done when you fill your mind with God’s word.

Yes, other kinds of literature can help you to transform your life for the better. We see world experts encouraging people to read books and change their lives.

While these books will help you change your life, the Bible will bring outside change and transform you from inside out. Another thing to note is that the transformation you will experience will be based on the truth and not just facts.

It Should Be a Continuous Process

for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

When you spend time in the word, you get to know who you are and who God is. Transforming the mind should be done daily because the battle happens in our minds.

Before you fall for that temptation, the enemy will keep filling your mind with bad thoughts to entice you. To gain access, he will fill your mind with wrong thoughts so that you can become fearful.

for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

For you to walk in the ways of God and live a life he has planned out for you, you need to know what the word says.

Through scripture, we can get in tune with the word of God and hear his voice clearly. Through the continuous reading of the word, we can replace false teachings with God’s true word. This, in turn, brings total transformation in our lives.

Faith Comes By Hearing Romans 10:17

So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

In conclusion

If you have a deep desire to transform your life, then consider starting with the mind. Many people spend so much time on outward transformation when actual change begins on the inside.

The word of God will not only change you outwardly, but it will also transform your heart.
