God’s Healing Power

maxresdefault 13 God's Healing Power

The word of God which is the revelation of the character of God teaches us that one of the intentions of God for his children is to have them spiritually whole and this doesn’t stop there; but that they also are in good health physically.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 2-3

Here in this verse was John the disciple and later apostle of Jesus speaking to Christians on the mind of God for them. God wouldn’t just want us to enjoy physical and spiritual prosperity without good health, what good would that be?

God is intentional about the state of our health physically.

The believer has a privilege to enjoy sound health, because it has been paid for with a very dear price: the blood of Jesus.

The bible says this:

But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

This was the prophetic word given to the prophet Isaiah which was a foretelling of what the journey and significance of the death and blood of Jesus would produce.

For by his death we received more than the salvation of our unseen soul, but we also received the salvation of our now seen body. For with his stripes, we are healed; because of the strokes that went on his flesh, we have received the right to be healed.

Many years after the prophesied Jesus would die, rise again and ascend into the heavens, his apostle Peter makes another statement that reaffirms what we have once heard.

Peter the apostle says:

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds. 1 Peter 2:24

This is good news! Because when we study the life of Christ on the earth, we see his continuous efforts to heal all those that were sick and infirmed. Even when the apostles began to work, they did not neglect this ministry of healing. God wants us healed!

We have been given access to enjoy sound health on this earth. Whatever you feel in your body that negates this intention of God should not be tolerated, but must be attacked with the truth of the word of God.

We must use God’s word to proclaim the healing that is ours. The fact that God has made health an inheritance for the saints does not automatically make Satan give up on trying our health. We will sometimes feel these conditions try us; sometimes mild and sometimes as chronic as it could be.

When you find yourself in these situations, what Satan wants is for you to lose faith and hope; that’s all he wants. And what this does is that we gradually lose confidence in the saving power of God, and then undermine the maker of the heavens and the earth.

Even beyond the devil wanting your sickness to lead to physical death, losing faith in God is a more terrible fate.

There is a way out! Proclaim your healing, don’t let that sickness succeed. Open the word of God and begin to pray to affirm your victory.

Believe in the Lord your God, and in the power of his might. Believing in God also means to believe in the healing power and the health that you have received by the stripes on Jesus’ flesh.

Jesus was so ruthless about healing men to the extent that he would disregard what the people upheld as the law of the Sabbath, just to heal men.

Jesus as well as satan know that without your complete health there is hardly much you can do.

So, God knows that you need your health to do the works that he has laid in your hands to do, and in the same way the devil is opposing the work of God in your hands by bringing sickness to you. So you know why you need good health.

Do not let the devil deceive you by making you question what the intention of God is for your health. Boldly proclaim the healing of God over you.

The bible says:

… for I the Lord, am your healer. Exodus 15:26

The Lord is your healer, you must know this.

You must come boldly to God because we know his intentions. We are not afraid or confused, so we boldly proclaim healing as ours.

The bible says:

Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Faith is believing in the word of God, and more faith comes by hearing more of the word of God and actually understanding it.

Come boldly to God in prayers and ask him to make good his word over your life. Reject that sickness because it is not a part of your inheritance in Christ.
